A Place to Grow Community

Anyone with an open heart and curious mind is welcome in the community. We are welcoming to many who perhaps wouldn't ordinarily resonate with growth and development in the perhaps 'new age' terms. What we mean by this is there are already plenty of communities and online forums for those who are 'traditionally' new age, healers, seekers etc. Here we are more grassroots, tell it like it is, let's have a brew and put the world to rights. White van driver? Technician? Brain surgeon? Rocket scientist? Snake charmer? Come on in.

Take a look at the home page for a brief background but simply put - this in an online community for everyone - and we really really really want those who haven't, so far, found somewhere that's feels like home to jump on in and be themselves. Now - the important bit - this online community is all about getting offline in the real world. Our intention is to meet here - grow here - then get down and earthy in the real world when the time is right. Of course the growing never stops.

Matt, the founder, whilst having training and experience in therapy and healing arts, found for some years that he didn't really 'fit' in the new-age community. He found it a bit 'airy fairy' to be frank. Also, in a nutshell, when he fell on hard times many years ago, the only people who came to his aid were your average 'man on the street', many of whom had no 'spiritual' beliefs whatsoever. But to him - they were deeply spiritual in their manner, kindness and ability to do the right thing. Then he got to thinking 'where do these guys go where they can be themselves?' He includes himself in this. Hence - an idea for a community grew. Now, let's be clear, this community is also open and welcoming to anyone who is kind.

Being different is how we learn from each other. Anyone, with any belief, from any background, of any skin colour, creed, gender, sexual orientation, from any planet ;-) can join. Our only request is that we allow each other to be who we are. That is all.

No. This is a space where we can be of faith, without faith, of the faith that 'no higher power exists', believing in a higher power - it really doesn't matter so long as we have the space to be us. Matt started this community because he saw that many other communities were - for people of faith, for atheists, for women only, for lgbtqai people only, for men only, and so on. He believes this is a time of unity - that's what it's all about. Look at the next question to get a feel for who will be part of this community and what we'll be talking about.

Cliché alert - that's entirely up to you - and us. What we will say is a little more about who you can expect (this will give you an idea of whether or not it's your thang). You can expect people from all backgrounds, from (hopefully!) all over the world who are looking for comfort. Comfort in community. As a result of this, we are hoping that many of the tribe will share their stories, experiences, skills, training, insight, baked goods, for the good of all. This will initially take place in the forum, where you can post your ideas, articles, poems, pictures of your baked goods. We do like baked goods. So - in a pineapple (same as in a nutshell but tangier) - we're touching base. We're meeting in the pub. We're arranging a connection at the pick-up point. We'll meet. We'll suss each other out. We'll agree, we'll disagree, we’ll agree to disagree. But above all - we'll be tribe.

Share it. Use the forum to join in current discussions or add your own topic. Keep it lawful, inclusive and respectful. Then the sky is your limitless. Car tips, gardening advice, healing results, inner conflicts (this isn't a therapy site so go easy, too personal stuff will be kindly shifted and moderators may send you a private list of support services), breakthroughs, holiday plans, issues of the day (such as 'toxic' masculinity - we really really don't like this term), articles of interest, baked goods (sorry, we just love them), jokes, aspirations, ideas for community, ideas for growth, stuckness (it's a part of growth), relationships, social media - tips and inspiration such as new players in the field, speaking which - football. So you see, anything really does GO. Keep it lawful. We already said that.

Pop your clever cursor thing on the 'Login' bit on the top right of the menu, and you will be given the options to join via email or social media. Click. Enter your details. Make your profile - say amazing things - you're done. Please make sure you put a picture of your face on. Blank profiles aren't allowed. Soz about that. Being a member will give you the superhuman ability to: post in the forum, gain followers and follow other members, chat privately with each other and more. Now, just a reminder, admins and moderators reserve the right to kindly remove or block profiles and posts that are not nice. Unless we're in a bad mood, in which case we'll angrily remove profiles and block in a tizzy. But we promise to then work on our anger issues.

We thought you'd never ask..... you can help first and foremost by being your fabulous self. Post deep, fun, shallow, vibrant, dull, interesting, text, comments, GIFs, pics, videos, voice clips - you are what makes the community eclectic, real. You can also volunteer your time and skills.
